In the north the first stop is an overnight at Lewa Conservancy. The next day we will meet baby elephants and fly up the Suguta Valley to the Jade Sea. After stopping off at the Turkana Institute to learn about the origins of Mankind we explore desert dunes, and meet the ancient Rendille Tribe. When we head south we’ll have a picnic in the Alpine-like forest of the of the Chulu Hills while looking down at Amboseli and across to Mt. Kilimanjaro and overnight there. While in Tsavo, the largest game park in Kenya, we fly down the Galana River to the beach.
On the coastal island of Lamu we explore the narrow streets, ancient Portuguese fort, and experience the rich culture of the Swahili and Bajuni people. At a nearby secluded boutique resort we cool off with a swim in the clear Indian Ocean ringed by endless white beach fringed with coconut trees. Deep sea fishing, watersports, snorkeling on a tropical reefs, and dhow trips are on offer.
